Informing the AngelsAboutAdam
AllahtheAlmightyrevealed:
"RememberwhenyourLord said to theangels:'Verily,Iam goingto place
mankindgenerationsaftergenerationson earth.'They said:'WillYouplace
therein those who willmake mischief therein and shed blood,while we glorify
You with praisesandthanks(exalted be You above allthat they associate with
You aspartners) and sanctify Y ou.'Allah said: 'I know that which you donot
know.'
Allah taught Adam all the namesof everything,then He showed them to the
angels andsaid:" TellMethenames oftheseifyouaretruthful." They(angels)
said:" GlorybetoYou, wehavenoknowledgeexceptwhat Youhavetaughtus.
Verily,itisYou,theAll-Knower,theAll-Wise." 
Hesaid:" O Adam!Inform them oftheirnames," andwhenhe hadinformed
them of theirnames,He said: " Did I nottellyou thatIknow the unseen in the
heavensandtheearth,andIknowwhatyou revealandwhatyou have been
hiding?"
RememberwhenWe said to theangels:" Prostrate yourselfbefore Adam"They
prostrated except Iblis,he refused andwasproud and wasone ofthe
disbelievers(disobedienttoAllah)."
We said: " O Adam!Dwell you and yourwife in the Paradise and bothof you
freely with pleasure and delight ofthingstherein aswherever youwillbutcome
not near this treeor youbothwill beoftheZalimeen (wrongdoers)."
Then the Satan made them sliptherefrom (the Paradise),andgotthem out from
thatin whichthey were.We said:" Getyou downallwith enmity between
yourselves. Onearth will bea dwelling placefor you andanenjoymentfor a
time." 

Then Adam received from hisLord Words.HisLord pardoned him (accepted his
repentance). VerilyHeis theOneWhoforgives (accepts repentance), themost
Merciful. 
We said:" Getdown allofyou fromthisplace (theParadise),then whenever
therecomes toyouGuidancefromMe, and whoever follows MyGuidancethere
shall be no fearon them,norshall they grieve. But those who disbelieve and
belieOur Ayah(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, and signs and revelations,
etc)sucharethedwellersoftheFire,theyshallabidethereinforever." (Chapter
2:30-39, Qur'an).
